I found a spot right up front in the commuter lot this morning and was able to get to the bus stop right as the bus was pulling up! It was a good (and extremely early) start to the day at 6:14 a.m.
I'm working as an assistant of sorts to this older gentleman Chris at the office. He is very sweet and asked for help researching clients for upcoming issues. He called me a few times to update me and clarify things he may have forgotten. I am not very used to speaking on the phone as I try to avoid it as best as possible (if I'm really being honest), so I am grateful to be working with someone who can help me advance and hone my skills of oral communication - without the added pressure of being in front of the other person! I am still learning everything at the office and I get kind of flustered when I am doing new tasks.. and just a LITTLE stressed out.
I'm thankful for my self-awareness and I hope I can take this brilliant opportunity and really roll with it. I'm already really comfortable there, especially since dress is semi-casual and people get to take random times out the day to step outside and get some air or grab a coffee next door. It is hands down the best decision I made this year for myself... I'm estastic to say the least.
