If you currently attend Radford University, you know exactly what I mean when I say, I missed this place! While everyone else bragged about their incredible summers abroad in Greece and London, dreading the start of the school year, you sat back and laughed, eager to begin another year in your favorite college town. This place has character, charm and the ability to change your life. And it has. So without further ado, here are the signs you are happy to be back at home.
1. You binge on Netflix and your friends are there every step of the way.
"Bob's Burgers," "American Horror Story," "Ghost Adventures," and more! Your friends never judge you, and they might even make popcorn.
2. No. Traffic.
"Rush hour" on Main Street is a blessing compared to [insert literally any other city here].
3. You do not have anyone nagging you to clean your room.
But if you are anything like me, you keep it clean anyway. Is this what adulting is?
4. Ice cream and pizza is an acceptable meal for breakfast.
It's not just acceptable, but you might even have to share.
5. It is 3 a.m. and everyone in the house is awake.
We will never sleep, 'cause sleep is for the weak.
6. There is always someone to do something with.
Hiking the Cascades? Your old roommate is leaving in 10. A pick-up game of soccer? Head down to Muse quad. Fraternity party? Your friend on light side is four beers deep. Netflix and chill? Bae is down.
7. Calling for delivery at 2:30 a.m. and realizing there are at least five places open.
Because there is nothing better than having the munchies and having options.
8. The freedom.
I do not come from a extremely restrictive household, but I know plenty of students that do. Being able to make your own decisions (good or bad) is something everyone has to face, and it helps you develop a sense of responsibility and maturity.
9. You see more people in pajamas than real clothes.
No one likes pants. We can all admit that.
10. You consider it your home.
And there is no place you would rather be.
